The rice packs can be heated in either the microwave or oven, and seem to stay warm for much longer than the average heating pad. All the ladies (and their families) still love and use them regularly to this day – over 10 years later! They were so fun, easy, and inexpensive to make, that I got on a roll and created one for every special woman in my life! I think I gifted about a dozen of these rice packs that winter.
